Elections have consequences, as Barack Obama observed after his 2008 victory. Following the election of President Trump and a Republican Congress, there is great uncertainty about what the consequences will be for those with special needs. How will the Republican proposal to repeal and replace Obamacare affect those with special needs? Is funding for the Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in jeopardy? Will the rules for special needs trusts change?
To consider these and other proposed and probable changes in law that will affect older Americans and those with special needs, five nationally known elder law and special needs attorneys have formed the Trump Policy Analysis Group (TPAG). On Wednesday, March 15, four founding TPAG members will present a free webinar on the legislative and legal landscape from their experienced vantage point and identify planning and other steps to preserve or, ideally, to increase quality of health care and quality of life.
The four webinar leaders, who are all members of the Academy of Special Needs Planners, will be California attorney Michael Gilfix, North Carolina attorney A. Frank Johns, Boston attorney and Special Needs Answers president Harry Margolis, and New York attorney Vincent J. Russo.
The March 15 webinar begins at 3 pm Eastern Time and runs until 4 pm. To register, click here.
